In order to increase the removal numbers and give our volunteer a break the park has acquired two hog contractors to remove hogs. One will work in the Bulow Plantation Ruins State Park area and the other will concentrate near the Fairchild Oak area. The contractors will be removing more than 180 feral hogs in the coming year in the Bulow Creek area and a supplemental amount in the Bulow Plantation area. The new contract will be starting soon and you should see difference in a relatively short amount of time.
